Features
Everything in the toolbox
Genventory tracks your items independent of where they sell. Here's what that covers today — the roadmap shows what's next.
AI-powered listings
- 9-stage AI pipeline — identification, condition grading, title, description, item specifics, live web-searched pricing, deep photo analysis, and eBay optimization, each handled by a specialized stage running in parallel.
- Suggestions you control — every field shows its AI suggestion inline; accept saves immediately, dismiss hides it. Confidence scores tell you what to double-check.
- Pricing with receipts — the pricing stage cites recent sold comps and sources, and every item keeps a research panel with one-click Terapeak, eBay, and Google Shopping links, routed to your regional site (US, UK, AU, CA, DE).
- Description templates — six built-in layout presets or your own, so the AI writes descriptions structured the way you want.
eBay integration
- 5-step listing wizard — details, category, pricing and shipping, review, publish, pre-filled from your inventory and AI output, with your business policies and favorites on top.
- Order sync that doesn't miss — scheduled background import, status refresh on existing orders, one-click 90-day backfill, and a second pass that catches unpaid Best Offers most tools never see.
- Two-way push sync — edit an item and the live listing updates, behind guardrails that block dangerous changes (big price drops, zero prices) and respect eBay's daily revision cap.
- Store categories, synced — a 3-level category tree you own, pushed to eBay with a full preview, plus cleanup tools for duplicates and empty branches.
- Dual drafts — resumable local drafts or real eBay unpublished offers, both flagged in your inventory list.
Warehouse and locations
- Real hierarchy — zones, bays, shelves, bins. Creating a bin auto-creates its ancestors; renaming a shelf cascades to everything below it, with a preview first.
- Warehouse map — a drag-and-drop 2D floor plan of each property and zone: draw rectangles, L-shapes, or polygons, add doors and labeled pins, measure in feet or meters, pan and zoom.
- Pick paths — select a batch of sold items and get one ordered walking route through the warehouse, printable or as CSV.
- Split stock — one SKU can live on several shelves or several properties; you always see the total plus the per-shelf breakdown, and sales ask which shelf they came from.
- Multiple properties — home garage, commercial unit, storage locker: keep each site's zones separate with per-property maps and pick paths.
- Barcode labels and label sets — Code128 or QR labels from fully custom templates (including vertical spine labels), printed in reusable multi-template sets with remembered quantities.
Floor workflows
- Stock take modes — Count (scan and confirm quantities), Location (audit a whole shelf, empty bins included), and Put-away (scan item, scan shelf, move any quantity).
- Camera scanning — every barcode field accepts your phone or laptop camera; no scanner hardware required.
- Stubs that grow up — unknown item on the floor? Create a stub with a label in seconds; a later CSV import fills it in without breaking the printed label or shelf assignment.
- Reference catalog — import your old pre-Genventory spreadsheets as a lookup, so a scan miss can say "your old sheet listed 3 of these" and prefill the title, brand, and dimensions.
- Quick Print — batch-print sequential SKU labels ahead of cataloging sessions, optionally creating stubs as you go.
Inventory core
- Smart SKUs — auto-generated in your format; renames cascade to Drive folders, thumbnails, and listings, with old SKUs kept as aliases so incoming orders still match.
- Natural units — type "2 lbs 4 oz" or "30 cm"; Genventory normalizes and displays in your preferred units.
- Bulk CSV import — hundreds of items at once with an editable preview, condition mapping, and AI-ready research columns.
- Sales anywhere — record sales from any channel with tax zones, customers, and printable receipts; eBay sales record themselves.
Photos and history
- Free photo storage — full-resolution photos on your own Google Drive, auto-organized by SKU; only thumbnails live in the database.
- Built-in editor — crop, rotate, flip, brightness, contrast, and saturation on new or already-uploaded photos.
- Full audit trail — every SKU, quantity, and location change is logged with its source and survives item deletion; filterable at /audit or per-item.
